Sewer

Sewer bills can be paid at BMO Harris Bank, Luxemburg Bank, mailed to the Village of Casco, 309 6th St. Casco, WI 54205 or put in the white box on the porch o the village office at 309 6th St.

Sewer bills are sent in March for the previous 3 months. July for April, May and June. October for July, August and September. The end of December for October, November and December. Any delinquent bills as of the end of September will be put on the tax roll and tax bill. Bills not paid by the 30th of the month that the bill was sent will have interest added.

Permits

Building permits must be issued from the building inspector, Brett Guilette 920-495-3232 for any repairs or additions to the property.

Licenses

Dog licenses are renewed every year from the village clerk at 309 6th St. with a record of the dogs current vaccinations.

Parking

No overnight parking on the streets of the village year round.

Taxes

Tax payments can be mailed can be mailed, put in the white box on the porch at 309 6th St. or in person during the hours posted in the tax letter sent with the tax bill.

The taxes can also be mailed to Village Clerk/Treasurer 309 6th St. Casco, Wisconsin 54205 or dropped off in the WHITE BOX on my porch at 6th St. and if you want a tax receipt please submit a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Second half of taxeas are to be paid at the end of July to the Kewaunee County Treasurer.

Garbage and Recycling

Stickers for garbage pickup can be purchased from BMO Harris Bank, Luxemburg Bank and Casco Mini Mart.

Recycling will be the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month. Paper and cardboard together and the co-mingle together.

Garbage is picked up every Friday and may only be placed at the curb for 24 hours. It can weigh no more than 40 lbs. Any garbage weighing more will be left at the curb. Any recycling in the garbage will also be left at the curb. The landfill can refuse our garbage is we have recyclables with the garbage.

Recycling Dates for 2015 can be found here. Remember, do not place your recycling in plastic bags. Plastic bags will not be picked up.

Property Issues

Snow has to be removed 48 hours after a storm or the village will remove it at the expense of the land owner.

Yards must be maintained or the village will cut the lawn at the expense of the land owner.

Any work to be completed on sidewalks or streets must be reported to Bruce Depeau at 837-7646 before the work can be started.

No burning barrels or garbage in the village. Burning pits must be cleared by the fire chief.

Disaster Shelters

Disaster Shelters in the Village of Casco are located as follows:

  • Meeting room at the Village Hall entrance on 1st Street
  • Middle School south entrance of the gym in the basement
  • South door of BMO Harris Bank in the basement

Miscellaneous Information

No snowmobiles in the village except on marked trails and only on the trails.

Voting takes place at the Casco Village Hall meeting room 1st street entrance. The hours for the polls are 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.

CASCO WARNING SIREN

The warning siren will be tested each month on the first and third Wednesdays. The warning siren will also go off everyday at noon.
